The local ex-work price of hot-dip galvanized steel in Mexico has dropped to US$926/ton, down by US$3/ton from two weeks ago. However, the booming large-size automotive manufacturers in Mexico will be the propellant to enhance the future demand for HDG in Mexico.

Many automotive producers such as GM, Ford, Chrysler, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Audi and Volkswagen have announced to invest at least US$10 billion in expanding their production and export in Mexico.
