NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, a subsidiary of Quality Systems, has received ONC-ATCB Complete EHR certification for its electronic dental record (EDR) version 4.2 from the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT).
The EDR version 4.2 is compliant in accordance with the criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
Quality Systems dental division executive vice president and general manager Donn Neufeld said dental clients are turning to technology-driven solutions that can increase practice efficiencies and allow to focus on delivering quality care to patients.

CCHIT chairman Karen Bell said, "CCHIT is pleased to be testing and certifying products enabling companies to offer these products to providers who wish to purchase and implement certified EHR technology and achieve meaningful use in time for the 2011-2012 incentives."
