Difference between 304 and 304L
Different prices: generally higher than the price of 304 stainless steel. Taking the ex factory price of TISCO as an example, the ex factory price of 304L stainless steel of TISCO is 500 yuan higher than the price of 304 per ton. So first of all, if 304L is used to replace 304, the cost will be increased.
Different chemical compositions: the most basic is that the carbon content of 304L stainless steel is lower than 0.03; The carbon content of 304 is lower than 0.08.
Different mechanical properties: 304L steel is obtained by reducing the carbon content of 304 to less than 0.03%. Its general characteristics are almost the same as 304, but 304L stainless steel can be restrained at 500 ~ 900 ℃.
