The raw materials of graphite electrode are petroleum coke, needle coke and coal tar pitch.
petroleum coke belongs to graphitized carbon. Petroleum coke is widely used in the chemical industry, metallurgy and other industries. It is the main raw material for the production of artificial graphite products and carbon products for electrolytic aluminum.
Needle coke is the key raw material for manufacturing high power or ultra-high power graphite electrode. The graphite electrode made of needle coke has low resistivity, small thermal expansion coefficient and good thermal shock resistance.
Coal tar pitch is used as binder and impregnating agent in the carbon industry, and its performance has great influence on the production technology and product quality of carbon products.
